Many of our clients have asked
us how to increase the font on some of the reports that automatically print in a
compressed font. An example would be the GL Monthly Trend Report. Below, we
have outlined a way to print these reports in a larger, more legible font.
Step 1: Set up a new printer driver in
Windows for the default printer you currently use in MAS90:
In Windows, select Start, Settings, Printers
Select the Add Printer icon and follow the wizard instructions
to set up the printer. At Printer Name, type LANDSCAPE. Be sure to print a
test page to make sure the printer works.
When the setup is complete, right click on the LANDSCAPE
printer icon. Go to Properties, Paper Tab, and change the paper size to Landscape.
Close the Printers Box
Step 2: Setting up the printer in MAS90:
In MAS90, go to File, Preferences, Character Prefs.
Set the Default Printer = NONE
Under Preferences, select the Printer Prefs tab.
Select the LANDSCAPE printer. Click on the Show Native Fonts Only.
Change the Normal Font Name to Times New Roman, Size to 12.
Change the Compressed Font Name to Times
New Roman, Size to 12.
Click Accept to close the box.
When you want to print a compressed report, you will need to
go into Printer Setup and choose the LANDSCAPE printer since it is not your default
printer.
This procedure will need to be followed at each workstation
where it is necessary to print the compressed reports in a larger font.
