FORMS BY E-MAIL
This question came up at
one of our User Group
meetings and has been raised many times on our Technical Support
Line. Now that MAS 90 and MAS 200 use Crystal Reports to print forms, you are
able to e-mail forms directly from MAS 90 or MAS200 to your client in lieu of printing
them.
For example, to print a quote from Sales Order Entry,
once you have completed the order click on the Quick Print button and
click on Preview. This will preview the quote to your screen.
At the top of the page, look for the icon with the envelope and a
red arrow pointing down and click it. This is the export button.
You will then be given the option of what format you
would like to export the sales order.
You should choose HTML 3.0 draft for viewing in Internet Explorer
and HTML 3.2 Standard for viewing in Netscape.
Set your destination as Microsoft Mail (MAPI) and click OK.

At the Export Directory screen, click ok to accept
the defaults. This will save the previewed form to your hard
drive. Your default e-mail program will then be launched with the
order as an attached document. Enter the e-mail address, subject and any message and click
send.
We strongly suggest you send yourself a test form
first. This way you can find the best HTML format to use.
You may need to make some customizations or create a specific form
in Crystal to use for e-mail depending on how well your form converts from
Crystal to HTML.

instructions presume that you have a working knowledge of MAS90, Windows
functions and Crystal Reports. Accuvar assumes no
