
GLOBAL
CUSTOMER FIELD CHANGES
Have
you ever wanted to make a change to a field in customer maintenance for a
large number of customers? For example, have you changed your
finance charge percentage but dread entering the information for each
customer? Take heart, there is an easier way than editing every record in
Customer Maintenance.
In
Accounts Receivable/Setup/Accounts Receivable Utilities, you will find an
option called Global Customer Field Change.

Using
this option, MAS90 allows you to modify specified customer fields for a
large group of customers. In the Global Customer Field Change
screen, you will make two entries for each of the fields displayed:
Change From and Change To. At the Change From fields, enter the
customer data you want MAS90 to match. At the Change To fields,
enter the new data which you want to replace the existing data. For
example, if you want to change the customer type for customers with type
A100 to customer type B200, enter A100 at the Change From field and enter
B200 at the Change To field. If you want to change the field for all
customers, select the All check box next to each field to indicate that all data for that field will be changed to the information entered at the Change To field, regardless of the data it currently contains.
